If you’re looking for wedding inspiration surrounded by rolling hills, open skies, and beautiful Central Florida scenery, The Carriage House at Vedder Farms in Leesburg, Florida is a venue that photographs beautifully from beginning to end.
I had the opportunity to photograph Jamie and Matt Keicher’s wedding here on March 15, 2025, and their wedding day gave me the chance to photograph so many of the features that make this property unique.
A Central Florida Wedding Venue With Rolling Hill Views
One of the first things that stands out about The Carriage House at Vedder Farms is the landscape. Located on 38 acres in Leesburg, the property features rolling hills and expansive countryside views that feel very different from many traditional Florida wedding venues.
For photography, having this much open space creates so many possibilities throughout the day. From portraits surrounded by the natural landscape to romantic photos as the light begins to soften in the evening, the property gives couples plenty of variety without needing to leave the venue.
The Ceremony Terrace
The outdoor ceremony terrace is one of the signature features of The Carriage House at Vedder Farms. Positioned to take advantage of the surrounding rolling hills, it provides a beautiful open-air setting for a wedding ceremony.
The scenery also creates a gorgeous backdrop for wide ceremony photographs that capture not only the couple exchanging vows, but the environment surrounding them. Those wider images are some of my favorites at venues like this because they help tell the full story of where the wedding took place.
The Carriage House Reception Space
After the ceremony, celebrations can continue inside The Carriage House. The climate-controlled reception space features high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and a bright, timeless interior that can work with a variety of wedding styles.
From a photography perspective, I love reception spaces that give couples flexibility. Whether the room is filled with florals, romantic candlelight, elegant details, or a more minimal design, the neutral interior allows each couple’s individual wedding style to stand out.
The venue also features a Southern-style porch and surrounding grounds, giving guests additional space to enjoy the property throughout the celebration.
Getting Ready at Vedder Farms
Another great feature of the property is its dedicated getting-ready spaces. The Rose Cottage provides a light and romantic setting for the bridal party, while the Pine Cabin offers a darker, more relaxed space for the groom and his group.
Having dedicated spaces on the property makes it possible to document the wedding day from the very beginning while keeping everything conveniently located at one venue.
Wedding Photography at The Carriage House at Vedder Farms
Jamie and Matt’s March wedding was such a wonderful opportunity to photograph this Leesburg wedding venue and explore the different backdrops throughout the property.
When I photograph a wedding, I’m always looking for ways to incorporate the venue itself into the couple’s gallery. Of course I want the close-up portraits and emotional candid moments, but I also love stepping back and creating photographs that show the landscape, architecture, and atmosphere surrounding the couple.
The rolling hills, open grounds, ceremony terrace, Carriage House, and countryside scenery at Vedder Farms gave us plenty of opportunities to create those kinds of images throughout Jamie and Matt’s wedding day.
Planning a Central Florida Wedding?
I love photographing weddings throughout Orlando, Leesburg, Mount Dora, and the surrounding Central Florida area. Having experience at a variety of local wedding venues allows me to arrive already thinking about lighting, portrait locations, ceremony angles, and how to make the most of the property throughout the wedding day.
If you’re planning a Central Florida wedding and are looking for a photographer who will capture both the big moments and all of the details that make your venue and wedding day unique, I would love to hear what you’re planning.
