Some wedding days just have that extra kind of magic, and Hannah and Sean’s wedding at Hidden Acres Barn was one of them. ✨
I had the opportunity to second shoot this beautiful wedding alongside Angela Moon Photography, and from the sweetest first look with their pup to an absolutely incredible golden hour and a sparkler-lit first dance, there were so many unforgettable moments to capture.
A Sweet First Look With a Very Special Guest
Hannah and Sean started their wedding day with a first look, but they weren’t alone for it.
Their adorable pup joined them, making an already emotional moment even more personal. 🐾
Including pets in your wedding day is such a sweet way to make your celebration feel even more like you. They’re part of the family, after all! Having their pup there gave Hannah and Sean’s first look another layer of meaning while creating some of the sweetest photographs from the day.
A Romantic Ceremony at Hidden Acres Barn
Surrounded by the people they love most, Hannah and Sean officially became husband and wife during a beautiful ceremony at Hidden Acres Barn.
Their ceremony was filled with so much love and intention, and afterward we were able to take advantage of the property for portraits of the newlyweds and their wedding party.
Then the light started to change.
Dreamy Golden Hour Wedding Portraits
Every photographer knows the feeling when you see that perfect golden light beginning to appear — and Hannah and Sean's wedding gave us exactly that.
As the sun began to set, the entire property was covered in the dreamiest golden-hour glow. It was warm, romantic, and one of those lighting situations you simply can't recreate.
We took advantage of every minute of it for bride and groom portraits, creating some of my favorite images from their day.
Golden hour can be such a beautiful addition to a wedding photography timeline. Even stepping away from the reception for just a few minutes around sunset can give you an entirely different set of portraits from anything photographed earlier in the day.
A Wedding Party Ready to Celebrate
Once the formalities were over, the energy completely shifted into celebration mode.
Hannah and Sean had a wedding party that knew how to have fun, which gave us plenty of opportunities for candid photographs filled with genuine laughter and personality.
Those unscripted moments are such an important part of telling the full story of a wedding day. The perfectly posed portraits are beautiful, but the photographs of you laughing with your closest friends, dancing with your family, and completely forgetting the camera is there are often just as meaningful.
A Sparkler-Lit First Dance
And just when the day couldn't get any more romantic, Hannah and Sean gave us an incredible ending.
Their first dance was surrounded by the glow of sparklers, creating a beautiful, cinematic atmosphere as they danced together as newlyweds.
The combination of the sparkling lights, the nighttime setting, and everyone gathered around them made the moment feel straight out of a movie.
It was the perfect way to wrap up a wedding day filled with personal touches, incredible light, and so much genuine joy.
Hidden Acres Barn Wedding Photography
Hannah and Sean's wedding was such a beautiful reminder of why I love photographing weddings. No two celebrations are exactly alike, and it's often the unexpected little moments — a dog joining a first look, an incredible sunset appearing at exactly the right time, or sparklers surrounding a first dance — that make a wedding completely unforgettable.
It was such a pleasure getting to document this beautiful day while second shooting alongside Angela Moon Photography.
