Shaina and Marc’s wedding at Veranda Elegant Events in Orlando, Florida was truly one of a kind. From the moment guests arrived, it was clear that this wasn't going to be just any wedding day. These two brought their love of Star Wars into their celebration in the most fun and memorable ways while still creating a beautiful day centered around their love for each other.
A Galaxy Far, Far Away Comes to Orlando
One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is seeing couples incorporate the things they genuinely love into their day, and Shaina and Marc absolutely embraced that.
Their Star Wars theme started before they even reached the altar, with a Star Wars aisle runner setting the scene for their ceremony. But the surprises definitely didn't stop there.
Guests were greeted by Stormtroopers from the 501st Legion, bringing a little bit of the Galactic Empire straight to Veranda Elegant Events. Seeing everyone's reactions made for some incredible candid photos and added such a fun experience for their guests.
An Epic Star Wars Wedding Reception
Once the ceremony was over, it was time to celebrate — and Shaina and Marc knew how to make an entrance.
Their reception entrance was one of those moments that perfectly captured their personalities and set the tone for the rest of the evening. Between the Star Wars details, their friends and family cheering them on, and the energy throughout the room, there was never a shortage of moments to photograph.
DJ Johnny kept the dance floor packed and the celebration going all night. From big dance-floor moments to the little candid interactions happening throughout the reception, the entire evening was filled with energy.
A Lightsaber Send-Off to Remember
Of course, there was only one appropriate way to end a Star Wars wedding: with lightsabers.
Friends and family lined up with glowing lightsabers to create an unforgettable send-off for the newlyweds. It was colorful, fun, completely unique to Shaina and Marc, and the perfect ending to their wedding day.
As a wedding photographer, these are the kinds of moments I love capturing. Your wedding doesn't have to look like anyone else's. It should feel like you.
Whether that means a traditional celebration, an elegant black-tie wedding, a day filled with fandom-inspired details, or Stormtroopers showing up to your reception, the details that represent you as a couple are often the ones that make your wedding photographs even more meaningful.
