Snowy Mountain Dream Wedding
Some weddings feel like they were pulled straight out of a dream—and Shannon and Jacob Boone’s wedding day was exactly that.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park, Colorado, their January 4th, 2026 wedding was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments, joyful celebration, and a little bit of unexpected magic from the Colorado weather.
I had the honor of capturing Shannon and Jacob’s day after being connected through Shannon’s sister, Mackenzie, who I work with at Disney. From the moment I met them, it was clear how special their connection was—not just with each other, but with the incredible community of family and friends surrounding them.
**A Week Full of Celebration**
This wasn’t just a one-day event—it was a full week of memories in the making. Family and friends traveled from all across the country to be there, turning the entire week into a meaningful experience. From exploring the beauty of Estes Park to bowling together the night before the wedding, every moment leading up to the big day was filled with laughter and connection.
**A Morning Full of Emotion**
The morning of the wedding was filled with meaningful, emotional moments—starting with Shannon getting ready in something incredibly special: her mother Katherine’s wedding dress. It was such a beautiful tribute, weaving family history into the start of a brand new chapter. Seeing her step into a gown filled with so much love and legacy made the day feel even more significant.
One of the most touching parts of the day was Shannon’s first look with her dad. It was emotional, intimate, and such a beautiful reminder of the bond they share. Shannon chose to keep the tradition of not seeing Jacob until the ceremony, which made that moment down the aisle even more powerful.
**Snowfall & Perfect Timing**
The entire week in Colorado had been clear—but on the morning of the wedding, snow began to fall for the very first time. And not just a light dusting—it came down steadily, creating a cozy, wintery atmosphere that felt straight out of a storybook.
As the ceremony approached, snow continued to fall heavily outside, adding to the magic of the day.
The ceremony itself took place indoors, in front of towering glass doors that revealed sweeping mountain views beyond. Even with the snowfall, the scenery was absolutely stunning—an unforgettable setting for Shannon and Jacob to say “I do.”
And then, as if perfectly planned, the snow cleared just in time for portraits. We were able to step outside for family photos and bridal portraits with fresh snow on the ground and the mountains shining in the background. It was truly the best of both worlds.
**A Night to Remember**
The celebration continued into a lively indoor reception filled with energy, laughter, and nonstop dancing. The love in the room was undeniable—every guest there had played a part in Shannon and Jacob’s journey, and it showed.
To top it all off, the night ended with a s’mores bar—an incredibly fun and cozy touch that perfectly matched the winter setting.
**A Day Full of Meaning**
Shannon and Jacob’s wedding wasn’t just beautiful—it was meaningful. From Shannon wearing her mother’s dress to the intentional moments with family and the way the entire week brought everyone together, it was a celebration rooted in love, connection, and joy.
It was such an honor to be there to document it all. Shannon and Jacob, thank you for trusting me to capture your story. Your day was unforgettable in every way.
