I've had the opportunity to photograph three weddings at Veranda Elegant Events — Melissa & Nathan, Julie & Mario, and Shaina & Marc — and each celebration has given me the chance to photograph this venue in a completely different way.
Having returned to the same venue multiple times is something I really value as a wedding photographer. I already know the layout, the lighting, and some of my favorite places to photograph, while every couple still gives me an opportunity to create something completely unique to their wedding day.
An Elegant Wedding Venue in Orlando, Florida
Located in Orlando, Veranda Elegant Events — formerly known as Crystal Ballroom at Veranda — offers approximately 10,000 square feet of event space across two floors.
One of the biggest advantages is having so much of the wedding day in one place. There are dedicated spaces for the ceremony and reception, an outdoor patio for cocktail hour, and separate getting-ready suites.
For couples, that means less time spent traveling between locations and more time actually enjoying the wedding day.
And from a photography perspective, keeping everything at one venue gives us more flexibility when we're building the photography timeline.
Getting Ready at Veranda Elegant Events
Veranda Elegant Events has separate getting-ready spaces, giving each side of the wedding party a place to prepare before the ceremony.
The beginning of the wedding day is always one of my favorite parts to document because so many little moments happen during this time — wedding details, final touches, getting into the dress, interactions with family and friends, and all of that anticipation before walking down the aisle.
Having those spaces right at the venue also makes transitioning into the ceremony much easier.
An Indoor Orlando Wedding Ceremony
Florida weather can be unpredictable, which makes an indoor ceremony space especially appealing.
Veranda Elegant Events can transform its ceremony space to match completely different wedding styles. After photographing multiple weddings here, I've seen firsthand how much the look of the space can change depending on each couple's colors, florals, décor, and overall vision.
That's something I really enjoy about photographing here — the same venue doesn't necessarily mean the same photographs.
Wedding Portraits at Veranda Elegant Events
Having photographed Melissa & Nathan, Julie & Mario, and Shaina & Marc here, I've had the chance to become familiar with the venue and find different ways to use the property for portraits.
When I photograph a venue multiple times, my goal is never to simply recreate what I did at the previous wedding. Instead, knowing the venue gives me a starting point. I already understand the spaces and lighting, and then I can adapt everything to the couple in front of me.
Whether we're creating romantic newlywed portraits, photographing the wedding party, capturing family photographs, or stepping away for a few quiet moments together, I want the photographs to feel like *your* wedding.
An Elegant Ballroom Reception
The reception space is where Veranda really comes alive.
Crystal chandeliers, elegant décor, and a large indoor ballroom create a beautiful backdrop for first dances, speeches, cake cutting, and the celebration that follows.
I've photographed everything from emotional moments to packed dance floors here, and some of my favorite photographs happen once everyone has finished the formalities and the party really begins.
Three Weddings, Three Completely Different Celebrations
One of the best examples of how versatile a wedding venue can be is seeing it through completely different couples.
I've photographed three weddings at Veranda Elegant Events, and each one had its own personality.
Melissa & Nathan celebrated their wedding here with a beautiful day filled with meaningful moments with their family and friends.
Julie & Mario ended their celebration with an incredible light-wand exit, creating such a fun final moment to photograph.
And Shaina & Marc brought their personalities into their wedding with Star Wars-inspired touches throughout their celebration.
Same venue. Three completely different wedding days.
That's exactly how it should be.
A Venue I Love Returning To
There's something special about arriving at a wedding venue and already knowing your way around.
After three weddings at Veranda Elegant Events, I've become familiar with how the spaces flow throughout the day and where I can take my couples when it's time for portraits.
That familiarity is especially helpful when timelines change — because wedding timelines almost always change at least a little!
Instead of spending time figuring out the venue, I can concentrate on the people, moments, and photographs that actually matter.
